Off we go! In justice we trust!!!

[He leads Håkon to the spectator stands, where there are a few people milling about, and policemen around. The field stretched in front of the stands is swarming with policemen, especially around the goalpost where the body was found.]

Well, do you remember anything?

Yep. Lots. I remember what I ate last night.

[ deadpans his way over. what a messy scene... he thinks. his hand feel a little idle, so he pockets them. ]

What do you guys have so far?

Well, we've already arrested our main suspect, the ace of the soccer club, Alf Cyde. We believe the true scene of the crime is on the fourth floor music room, in the school, as there's evidence that the body was dropped a long distance. At the time of the victim's death, the suspect was the only one on the floor.

Does any of this ring a bell for you?

Alarm bells, yeah. [ what's he got in his pocket? oh.. lollipop.

he takes that out, unwraps it, and sticks it into his own mouth. sucking on that sucker thoughtfully. ]

Alf Clyde... Poor guy. He probably feels pretty slighted, getting accused of something that he didn't do.

What?? Are you claiming that he is not the killer? Where's the proof for that?

Even witnesses can be wrong! Evidence never lies though! In a court of justice, evidence is what really matters!

Having witnesses allows us to determine which evidence is relevant and important, so we need both witness and evidence to have a fair and just trial!

Okay. Then, talk to me.

[ he takes out his lollipop, and points it at bobby lackadaisically. ] Ask me a couple of questions, and let's see where that gets us.

Very well. Prepare for my justice-filled questioning!

First: Were you here, in this school, last night between 6 and 9 pm?

[ I'm not prepared for how many times you are going to use the word justice.... ]

Hm... yep. I was.

[ conflict is everywhere, at all hours of the day. he definitely was here last night. ]

Hmm... where were you during that time?

[zeitnot]

First floor, near the supply closet.

...All right. What did you see that night?

A whole bunch of things.

Your murder victim dying in the supply closet, for one. He was strangled pretty miserably by a knot of rope.

What??? But he was found in the field, by the goal posts!! And the supply closet is on the first floor! This contradicts everything we've found so far!!!

Yeeep. See how Alf Clyde couldn't have done it?

Well, unless he teleported, or drilled a hole through the floor or something. But both those things are pre-tty unlikely.

Personal question-- why are you so hung up about justice?

...why am I hung up on justice? Because, as a detective, it is my duty to bring the unjust to the light, and have them pay for the crimes they've committed! One must have a strong sense of justice to perform this duty with all their passion!!!

In justice we trust! If we can trust in justice, then we can trust in the courts, which are sacred places where justice is upheld! It is because of a lack of justice that we're in the dark ages of the law, so it is my duty to help bring it back!
