lawfuloblivious: (sulking)

[ Torth frowns when the golden tether stays, and while he lessens the pressure on Elden's wrist, he keeps his grip to monitor Elden's health as the magic proceeds to siphon the Oracle's life force and give it to him.

Torth stares back at Elden, eyes narrowing as well in disapproval. But he doesn't speak, only sets his mouth in a firm line. And when the tether shatters and dissipates, some of the tension is relieved from his shoulders. Elden looked paler, winded and tired, but still in relatively good health. He himself felt better, he could not deny that, but he couldn't be happy about the situation.

He couldn't deny Elden's logic either, as much as he wants to protest. Elden is right -- he couldn't afford to be down for even a moment. Not when it's just the two of them alone in this.

After a moment of tense silence, Torth's shoulders sag and he sighs, letting go of Elden's wrist.

Get some rest, Elden. I'll take up first watch.

And... thank you for the healing.
